My artistic practice is rooted in a respect for the natural world and a desire to share the individuality of the animals that inhabit it. Through colored pencil, watercolor, ink, and mixed media, I create detailed portraits that go beyond simple representation. I am interested in the quiet power of observation: the texture of fur, the glint of an eye, the posture of a body at rest or in motion. These details allow me to reveal not only the physical beauty of wildlife, but its vulnerability, intelligence, and presence.
Travel has played an important role in shaping both my life and my work. Experiences throughout Africa, in particular, have brought me face to face with endangered species and landscapes that are both breathtaking and fragile. Those encounters strengthened my commitment to conservation and continue to influence the stories I tell through my art. Each piece becomes a way of honoring the animals I have seen and the ecosystems they depend on.
I believe art can create a connection that facts alone sometimes cannot. By inviting viewers to slow down and look closely, I hope my work encourages empathy, curiosity, and a deeper sense of responsibility toward the living world. Creating art has been a lifelong pursuit, and I see it as both a personal expression and a form of environmental stewardship. My hope is that each image offers a moment of beauty while reminding us of our shared responsibility to protect the planet and the wildlife that call it home. I'm currently working on my own book featuring endangered animal artwork along with conservation awareness.
