"Male Finches gather on a Lichen covered tree to 'catch up' with each other after a long cold winter. Some play 'peek-a-boo' whilst one looks out to the horizon keeping watch. The bird flying in symbolizes the arrival of Spring. I depicted all male finches as I liked the contrast of their red heads against the cold blue sky."
