The Tipping Point illustrates the issues of vanishing glaciers and species due to man made climate change. One can see the polar bears starting to vanish. Climate change is no more evident than in the northern latitudes where glaciers, that have been growing for 1000’s of years, are now either gone or in drastic decline. The play on words with the title is descriptive of some glaciers that rapidly turn over when melting and is a portent that broad changes can occur very quickly once a system is out of balance.
