"My strength and my joy is my ability to draw, for which I am eternally grateful. My style is meticulous and detailed and I spend weeks happily drawing a single composition. I experiment with placing my subjects, usually birds, in groups where their poses and expressions seem to form a dialogue among them; a narrative that appeals to the viewer in a lighthearted way. My Métis heritage has likely engendered my love of birds and animals as subject matter.
