“Bishop and the Bear” is a surreal story of loss of habitat. The first of a continuing series of paintings depicting a homeless polar bear and his faithful dog Bishop facing the extreme challenge of living amongst us while searching for their new home. This conservation art project was created to raise awareness to climate change, loss of habitat, and endangered species. I feel that art is a gentle way of delivering a strong message that could help open the eyes of many to a very serious ongoing problem we face.
