The Artist
"Joanne is a Canadian wildlife artist, spending much of her free time over the years in the great
outdoors whether running, hiking, cycling or kayaking. Joanne has lived in remote communities in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec. This has fostered a keen appreciation for nature and wildlife and a desire to explore the intricate landscape of her subject through colour, texture and detail. Joanne has travelled across Canada, coast to coast, and marvels at the beauty and diversity of the scenery and wildlife which is subsequently expressed in her artistic practice. Although practised in a variety of medium her choice is acrylic for it’s ease of application and the ability to use both brush and palette knife.
