I saw these sunlit Dunes on New Year's Eve, 2017.  A beautiful sunlit day in Northern Michigan.  The actual location is just west of St. Ignace as you drive along the Northernmost coast of Lake Michigan.   The dunes are on the north side of US 2 and beyond them, miles of undisturbed National Forest.  A marvelous place to see!
