I had the unique opportunity to be my daughter's field tech for a week and help collect habitat data from several tributaries and waterways in eastern Oklahoma. Tributary coordinates and width, bank height and slope, substrate and vegetation percentages, and tree overstory were calculated to assess the habitat where alligator snapping turtles were previously caught/tagged/released in the summer of 2023.
