Castle Sentinel - Barn Owl
This painting was inspired by a trip I did a number of years ago to Ireland. We visited many castles on our trip and I took alot of reference shots as I knew I wanted to incorporate the subject into a painting at some point. I decided to add in a Barn Owl as that turns out to be the most threatened species of owl in Ireland. I found it to be a great addition as the ghostly white face and forward facing eyes give it a phantom-like presence suitable for a castle that's centuries old. This framed original will look amazing in an office, livingroom or den.
10% of the sale of the original along with 10% of each print will go directly to The Owl Foundation found in Vineland, Ontario, Canada. They do amazing work rehabilitating and nursing injured owls back to health. www.theowlfoundation.ca
