Biography

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a painting can speak them. More than capturing a moment, I aim to tell the story of my subject by translating their image to paint. My focus is on the beauty of all animals, ultimately to help those most endangered. My process involves photographing a subject at their most revealing, and using these as references to portray them from the inside out. Every painting poses its challenges, such as introducing new painting techniques, or the subject itself.
