Biography

Deborah Brosen grew up in Kinderhook, NY in a family that taught her to appreciate and love wildlife and the outdoors. Even as a child, her love for animals was very evident to those around her. She was well known for bringing home and taking care of whatever stray animals she found, whether it was a kitten, a turtle, or a baby racoon, even when she had to sneak them inside the house. As a young girl, Debbie learned that she could draw and that by doing so, she could capture and share the beauty of the world around her. Debbie’s love of nature and animals led her to combine her passion for art and animals by becoming a wildlife and pet portrait artist. Her father always told her that she had a gift from God and that she needed to share that gift with others. Debbie has not taken this blessing lightly. She has supported fundraising efforts of all kinds, from helping to raise awareness of declining habitat, to supporting families in need. She states, “It warms my heart to see the pleasure others have derived from viewing and purchasing my art, which can be found in private homes across the US and into Canada.” Debbie admires the beautiful work of so many artists and continuously strives to learn and grow with her own art. She is honored to be able to be a part of Artists for Conservation and looks forward to using her art to help create a better environment for the animals and the world around her.
As someone who has always had a deep love and appreciation for nature and animals, conservation efforts have been a priority for Deborah. She has used her artistic talents to create one-of-a-kind artwork for organizations to use in their fundraising efforts. Over the years, Deborah has donated her art to many organizations, including but not limited to, Ducks Unlimited, the Ruffed Grouse Society, the Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation, Safari Club International, Trout Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and many more. She has also generously donated her time to help organize events in New York State. She has been recognized several times for both her talent and generous spirit.
Deborah will make a donation to a conservation organization from every sale she makes on her art on this sight. If you are interested in becoming a recipient of one of these donations, please contact her directly.
