Humpack Whales
In the silvery blue depths of the St. Lawrence River,
Where the water is a world of mystery and momentum,
Two whales swim like silent giants.
The mother and her calf, in a marine dance.
The mother whale, with her imposing mass,
Sows grace in the intertwining waves.
Her folds, like folds of silk, follow her movement,
And her eye, deep as the ocean, shines with intelligence.
The calf, close by, follows her slow steps,
Learning the secrets of underwater life.
It floats in the protective shadow of its mother,
In a world where time seems to stand still.
The waves, gentle or furious, surround these giants,
And the wind, whistling above the water,
Speaks of forgotten adventures and mysteries,
In this canvas that captures the essence of the Quebec sea.
It is a tribute to the grandeur and tenderness
Of these creatures that inhabit our seas,
A moment suspended in the history of nature,
And a lesson in life, in the fluidity of the waves.
