Purpose/Mission:
Carlyn Iverson is a wildlife artist and naturalist currently residing in Minnesota. Her love of the natural world and passion for wildlife inspires work towards preserving our planet's natural beauty. Conservation work in 2015 saw Carlyn first design and then facilitate the creation of the Charles Darwin Exhibition Hall, Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos. The work was donated to the Charles Darwin Foundation in order to establish a facility that would draw tourists to the museum and support the financial needs of the research station. The Exhibition Hall continues to be a major source of funding supporting the ongoing research for conservation in the Galapagos Islands. Carlyn's work in the Galapagos has been ongoing since 2015, including becoming a member of the Board for the Charles Darwin Foundation. At this time, 2023, there is ongoing initial work towards designing a new marine exhibit for the Research Station in the Galapagos islands. Other conservation work includes the design and fabrication of exhibits for the MN Raptor Center, the largest raptor rehabilitation center in the Unites States. Additional exhibit work for the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka, Alaska was done in 2021.

The project was to design an Exhibition Hall to display artifacts representing the bio-diversity of the Galapagos islands and to also tell the hisotry of the islnads.  This includes the important work of Charles Darwin's studies into evolution that were developed after his travel and visit to the Galapagos Islands.  His time iin these islands provided insight into the theory of natural selection that he determined was a primary driver of evolution in nature.  The Exhibition Hall also generates funding for the research for conservation in the Galapgos islands and plays an important part in stabilizing the funding necessary to keep the research activities going.
