Mud Island is a human-made island, created out of dredge material. It is now a National Wildlife Refuge that is closed to the public. Fighting Island was once used as a site to deposit industrial waste. The environment there is undergoing rehabilitation and it is being used as a place to educate nearby Canadian schoolchildren about biology and ecology. I painted this using the Yellow-Green/Orange/Purple Minor Chord from the Dudeen Color Triangle.
