Ford Powerhouse from Belle Isle State Park
- Painted en plein air on 3/15/20 at Belle Isle State Park
- Detroit River
- Ford Powerhouse
Ford Powerhouse was designed by Albert Kahn and was built during a time when the area where it stands was known as Ford City. I painted this a couple days after my coworkers and I were sent home from work when it became recognized that the COVID-19 pandemic was a serious threat to public health here. The palette that I used is based on Goethe's Mighty color scheme.
