"Key Responsibilities: Trained volunteers conduct a standardized count of this spectacular migration of
raptors at the lower Detroit River..." Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
I volunteer as a Stewardship Volunteer and a Detroit River Hawk Watch Raptor Volunteer Spotter at Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. I occasionally participate in workdays as a Stewardship Volunteer at State Parks in Southeast Michigan with the state's Department of Natural Resources. I also serve as a volunteer surveyor of frog and toad calls. I did this in the Spring-Summer 2019 season with the Friends of the Rouge - Rouge River Watershed Frog and Toad Survey. In 2020, I was trained as a FrogWatch USA Volunteer at Detroit Zoological Society. This Spring-Summer 2021 season, I am conducting surveys on Belle Isle State Park for FrogWatch USA.
