When I observe young owls, it is especially fascinating to study their individual personalities. Some are bold an curious, others are very careful and anxious. The two long-eared owlets have their first encounter with a peacock butterfly and I wanted to show how the different characters might react to the huge, colorful eyes. This scene was drawn from my own reference photos and observations.
