These goats were resting on a melting snowbank close to the trail above Hidden Lake, Glacier National Park. It must have felt good to lie on the ice in the heat of the July sun. Their woolly coats spoke more of icy winters then sunny days. I tried to recreate the texture and color of their coats against the disappearing snow.
