The amazing array of colors on a male wood duck was always something that I wanted to capture in a print, but when I saw this blocky silhouette backlit by the dawn I couldn’t resist using that shape and emphasized the colorful grasses and water instead.  This print is in the 2021 Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum, Birds in Art exhibition.
