Conservation

"Traveling to places like The Galapagos Islands and Kenya, I became aware of the need for funds for conservation efforts in countries that don’t have the resources.  In Galapagos, I saw what happens when ocean pollution goes unchecked when we came upon a mother sea lion trying to rescue her pup, who was unable to breath well because he had a cotton hat rim stuck around his neck. In Kenya, I saw how low the cheetah numbers were as a result of loss of habitat to farming and careless smuggling of cubs to Arabian countries for the purpose of providing status symbols for the wealthy. The more I learn of all the injustices forced upon these helpless creatures, the more determined I am to use my talent and passion for painting to help the cause.

Organizations I help to fund:

  • World Wildlife Fund
  • Galapagos Conservancy
  • Cheetah Conservation Fund
  • Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
  • San Francisco Zoological Society
  • Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania
  • Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
  • English Setter Rescue
