The illegal wildlife trade uses both wild and captive tigers to fuel the demand for their parts. There are reportedly only 4,500 tigers left in the wild today. There are more tigers in captivity around the world than in the wild, bred for entertainment and consumption. And because the wild tigers are so scarce and much harder to capture, criminals use cruel and unsanitary tiger farms as an easier source.

I am honored to announce that my painting, "Sumatran Stripes," has been chosen by the jury to be part of the 2024 Live Exhibit at VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, BC. The exhibit will run from September 19th to 22nd, 2024. Additionally, "Sumatran Stripes" will be featured in the Virtual Exhibit and the companion book, available for purchase during the exhibition. The book is a collection of artworks selected for AFC's 2024 Exhibit.
