This is a very special piece portraying two wolves from the famous Wapiti Lake Pack of Yellowstone National Park. The dark colored wolf is wolf 1329M, recently killed on the border of Wyoming and Utah in the area that is consider a predator zone. Why was he killed? The answer is simple: he was born a wolf. Indiscriminate killing of wolves leaves packs in disarray. As the hunt for wolves continues, I really hope that everyone will speak up on their behalf. We can’t allow this ongoing slaughter to continue or we will lose this key apex predator forever. This is the most persecuted animal alive today.
