(Calidris tenuirostris) a migratory shorebird. Breeding range in Russia. They are strongly migratory wintering on coasts in Southern Asia through to Australia.These birds forage on mudflats, coastal marshes and beaches. They mainly eat molluscs and insects.Several threats: Mangroves degradation, dam construction, coastal oil spills, toxic waste disposal into rivers, overfishing to their food source and etc.The snails are telescope snails (Telescopium telescopium). Its a local delicacy in Southeast Asia. The habitat is painted based on Singapore's Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
