The painting is inspired by my trip to British Columbia in 2021 at the occasion of the AFC festival, where I got to meet some of the extraordinary wildlife that inhabit the region but also discover the art of totemic poles. Totems are spirits of nature with whom the first people entertain powerful spiritual and mystical ties.
