What I loved most about this moment was the knowledge that in the valleys where mammoths once roamed, we find prong horn today.  It's amazing to see them across the open fields.  When I was completing this painting, I learned that prong horns are not antelope -- they are a unique species with no other relatives on this earth.  Amazing!
