Again We Rise
I am descended from a long line of immigrants who moved thousands of miles to find a home that would sustain them. So I can relate to the Turkey Buzzards that fly in spirals over our house in the spring and fall. They rest in trees near our home, and in the early morning, as the sun lights the clouds overhead, they rise one-by-one and sail toward a brighter kinder future. Turkey Buzzards are a critical part of the ecosystem, the housekeepers of the desert. Without them, we would be knee-deep in carrion.
