This painting started out as an idea of painting a reef that would gradually move to bleached, and then lifeless coral.  Once I began, however, I was so moved by the colors and the shapes, that I continued to paint them.  In the end, I decided that the best way to impact the viewer may just be to leave the coral reef as beautifully untouched.  I hope that you enjoy it.
