I was born in Washington state, grew up in Idaho where I earned a B. A. in Art Education at Boise State University and a M.F.A. From the University if Idaho. I was an educator, teaching art at the high school, middle school and college level until retiring from teaching. During my teaching career, I was also a practicing artist, showing and selling my work at galleries on the west and east coasts. My work focuses on the environment, the animals and plant life that we share the earth with. For many years, I divided my time between Oregon and Georgia, participating in artist residencies and shows of the work created  designed to highlight the beauty of the regions and the importance of protecting the habitat.  Now I live and work in Oregon full time. Focusing on widening my commitment to conservation through my art and my support of conservation organizations and projects.
