The Artist

"Thank you for taking the time to browse my site. I hope you find this an informative site that gives you a sense of who I am and what I paint. Painting and conservation efforts supporting my subjects are very important to me. Conveying my thoughts, ideas and what I observe in nature through my artwork gives me great satisfaction  "

Bozeman Montana artist Robert Schlenker fills his days as a full-time artist focusing his efforts on landscape and wildlife art. His passion for painting and drawing started as a young boy growing up on the prairie pothole region of North Dakota. He moved to Montana more than 40 years ago and revels living in an area so rich with reference material for his drawings and paintings.

While exploring the natural world Robert's artistic senses are constantly stimulated with images and ideas for new compositions.

Through the years, his work has been juried into shows and art exhibits throughout the United States and Canada.

Robert is a signature member of the Artists for Conservation (AFC), a member of the Montana Professional Artists Association (MPAA) and owner of Big Sky Wildlife Art -
