Koklass pheasants are endemic to most of the coniferous mountains in northern Pakistan. They are very shy and hard to spot in the wild. They rocket down the jungle slopes with a strong call. This painting was a result of an inspirtion from a pair that flushed past me. It was a beautiful moment to see them in the wild.
