This was a very technical sculpture to make succeed.  This work was sculpted from a single piece of Butternut wood.  I allowed the initial piece of wood that I had available to me determine the composition for the piece.  The stylized birds are connected simply by the tail feathers which allows for an airy feel as if the birds are actually in flight.
