Thisimage was created with an acrylic pour background that gives an abstract feel for aspen leaves.  After the background dries, I place the birds in a pleasing compositional pattern.  The birds are painted in oils with a thin application.  The oils allows for some of the background color and shapes to filter through the bird images tying the piece together.
