This image was created with the background being an acrylic pour.  The pour creates an abstract image that resembles aspen leaves in some instances with shape and color.  The birds are then positioned into the work to create a pleasing composition.  The birds are painted in oils to give a transparent effect and allow some of the background to filter through.
