This mixed media piece has an acrylic background with the blue birds done in detail in oil paint.  I had a flcok of about 15 blue jays come into my feeder just outside my studio.  They hung around for about 10 minutes.  During that time I experienced this situation and took photo reference for future works.  This is one of the results from that experience.
