Between my home and town, I passed by this group of birch trees almost everyday.  I was drawn to the black and white pattern the trunk offered, as well as the variety of colors surrounding the grouping of trees.  This painting is a result of my observations of the group of trees.  Since painting this image the trees no longer exist.  This painting's overall frame size is 20.75" W x 23.75" H
