Betsy Popp - Residency Retrospective

The Nicolet Art Gallery located on the campus of Nicolet College, 5364 College Drive, Rhinelander, WI, will be hosting an exhibit titled, "Betsy Popp - Residency Retrospective" from Monday, November 19 - Friday, December 21, 2018.  The opening reception for this exhibit will be held on Saturday, November 17 from 2 - 4 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.  Since 2001, artist Betsy Popp has served as Artist-in-Residence in 12 programs.  Her residencies include 6 National Parks; Everglades N.P., Florida, Acadia N.P, Maine, Grand Canyon N.P., North Rim, Arizona, Badlands N.P., South Dakota, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI, and most recently Shenandoah N.P., Virginia.  Other residencies include Sapelo Island, Georgia, The Idaho Art Lab, St. Anthony Idaho (twice), Porcupine Mountain State Wilderness Area, MI, Room 210, Neville Public Museum, WI, and internationally, Odyssey, San Ramon, Costa Rica.  Betsy's exhibition is drawn from the art created over the past 17 years as a result of these residencies.  The exhibition will include oil paintings, pastels, wood sculptures, and acrylic paintings.
