Painting for a Good Cause
Kay was invited to paint a cowboy hat to benefit the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association in June. Wrangler provided the hats and participationg artists designed and painted them.
The NIRF committee's goal was to raise $10,000.00 through a Style Show event held at the Holiday Inn in Casper, Wyoming. The contributing artists helped to boost that amount to almost $23,000.00 and the event sold out.
The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Foundation supports scholarships, injured rodeo athletes, historical preservation of Western tradions, and RAWHIDE (which fosters wellness & a healthy lifestyle) for young adult rodeo participants.
A worthy project and great fun!
