November Afternoon was one of  4 of my paintings exhibited in September-October, 2021, at the Invitational New Mexico Painters Exhibition at NM Highlands University, in Las Vegas, New Mexcico.  It was awarded the Eli Levin Purchase Prize and will be a part of the Permanent Art Collection at HIghlands.

In spring of 2020, the Santa Fe Artists Medical Fund, which raises money through art auctions for northern New Mexico artists who do not have medical insurance, launched a project called "Flowers For Santa Fe", after learning that patients in hospitals and nursing homes could no longer receive flowers or plants because of Covid restrictions. 90 local artists created over 500 small flower paintings, which were delivered as gifts to patients; This project brought all of us a sense of purpose and gratitude at being able to do a small thing to help in this complicated time.  This painting was chosed as one of 12 which were made into greeting cards by a local printer.  They are being sold in venues around Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque, with a portion of proceeds going to the Santa Fe Artists Emergency Fund.

My pastel, Heins Creek Solitude, was chosen to be exhibited in the First Annual International Exhibition of Artists for Conservation at the LanWan Art Museum, in Qingdao, China. The exhibit ran from August 3 - September 30, 2017. Heins Creek is located on a protected preserve of the Door County Land Trust in Wisconsin.

CONSERVATION ARTIST OF THE MONTH Award from ARTISTS FOR CONSERVATION -- Monthly Award given in memory of Simon Coombes. I have received other awards over the years, from exhibitions at the Rahr-West Art Museum-Manitowoc, WI; Tucson Plein Air Painters Society (Best of Show); Foothills Art Center-Golden, CO (Best of Show); Kentucky Highlands Museum-Ashland, KY; Cheyenne, WY, Audubon Society, and others.
