Each species of penguin have unique mating rituals, and rockhoppers preen feathers as a courtship and mating behaviour between breeding pairs. I caught this sweet pair on the the cliffs of Pebble Island, Falkland Islands. It was after a full day of retrieving tracking tags off Gentoo penguins and as the sun peaked below the clouds it stopped hailing enough to bring out my camera.
