This is a painting of a peacock sitting on a tree branch in a forest in India.  The peacock is the male of the peafowls and uses his beautiful tail feathers to attract the plainer female. That is surprisingly the only use their gorgeous fan of feathers has and they have to care for them to keep them beautiful.  They also like to sit on higher branches so that their tail feathers are not draging on the forest floor.

(Artwork is currently on gallery wrapped canvas and unframed. The painting can be shipped rolled up or streched. Shipping on actuals.)
