"There are no two Green Frogs alike. Maybe that's why I never tire of them as the subject in many of my paintings. They vary from bronze to lime green, and even sky blue, which I have still to see with my own eyes. However, I did see one that was all black, even the eyes. They also display darker patterns, which makes them hard to see when they sit in the grass. The frog in this painting has markings that 'break' the shape of the frog, making it hard to recognize within it's environment."
