Mongolian Wild horse
This painting has been a work in progress for a few years, and lately I settled upon the context of the image by referencing traditional Chinese landscape painting. Though I settled on the structure of the background long ago this time I used acrylic gold paint to secure the background because it keeps the design simple and I find the Mongolian Wild Hores exciting enough, and also it seems inkeeping with the essense of landscape like the Chineses traditionalists wanted to convey the poetry of the moment.
I've been drawn to horses from a young age, I suppose it was the most exciting thing that happened on our street when the milkcart came by the horses hooves rattling on the cobblestones.
