Kim supports the Alaska Raptor Center and The Peregrine Fund annually. She also works closely with local grass-roots conservation groups on various projects and leads bird watching tours to encourage green eco-tourism.
Conservation
"Kim has supported nature conservation both monitarily and as a volunteer or employee of various conservation groups for most of her life. Kim worked for the Alaska Raptor Center and The Peregrine Fund as a biologist, environmental educator and education bird trainer. She continues to support both facilities with art and cash donations. Kim also participates in field projects conducting bird surveys, training volunteers, banding birds and leading bird field trips locally and abroad.
Kim's goal is to bring bird appreciation into every household by sharing her knowledge and passion for birds through art, science and education. Her intent is to spark interest in birds in the hope of increasing bird awareness and conservation.
