All my favourite things - blue wren, gum leaves, virburnum, gweria & native grasses. These plants are growing in my garden and have survived this dreadful drought we’ve been having. Tough, hardy plants that can look beautiful providing an abundant habitat for the little native birds that live in it. This male blue wren is a trickster, he loves to tap on the windows, fly close to my face when I’m in the garden and pop into the kitchen for a visit to say hi. I’m so aware It has been so important to put water out for our native birds and animals when it’s dry so they are ready to thrive when the rains come. Looking after our native friends is a privilege. At the moment there’s a lot of love in our garden since the rain. Very happy blue wrens!
