Cathy loves being outdoors painting and photographing nature. She has been incredibly fortunate in her lifetime to witness in the wild platypus playing in cool streams, and have dingoes, wallaby's, kangaroos, koalas, emus, pelicans, brolga's, goanna's, shingle back lizards, blue tongue lizards, sugar gliders and a myriad of birds from the tiniest of wrens to the soaring majestic wedge-tailed eagles visit her home in Australia .

Cathy has loved discovering the beautiful Great Barrier Reef with the world's largest coral reef and amazing ecosystems. The Outback with its vast open spaces and big red kangaroos. Phillip Island where the little fairy penguins come ashore to their nesting burrows at night. Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve, a major breeding reserve for Mutton Birds which migrate annually to the Philippines. Port Fairy where just off the coast the ruggard Lady Julia Percy Island is home to the largest colony of Australian furs seals in the southern hemisphere and incredible clifftop walks. The Great Ocean Road where the endangered rufous bristle bird and the wandering albatross can be seen along the scenic drive. Lord Howe Island where the Phasmid (which was once through to be extinct), the Lord Howe Island Woodhen and numerous birds are all apart of the amazing island ecosystem of Lord Howe Island.
