Many times the goal of people that admire wildlife is to get close… moving in from an environmental view to get a real sense of an individual. I find as an artist a subject speaks to me in a whole new way when it allows me to be close; to listen and observe. A quiet conversation opens up that, without words, gives voice to a feeling through expressions, movements, glances and in the details of their condition.  They tell you about where they live and what their life is like and things they have done.
