My favorite part of our trips to Cabo Pulmo, and why a part of my heart will always be there, is because of all the time I got to draw and paint with the kids. When I wasn’t doing specific art research, or even while I was, I had the honor and pleasure of doing art with the kids. Their passion, creativity, uniqueness, and love of nature, inspire me and moved me to create this painting. I did color studies in an area we called “Crab Rock”, where wespent a lot of time photographing and watching the crabs. They seemed the perfect representatives for all the artists, young and not so young, with their similarities and uniqueness. The crabs to the right represent the children artists, who have come to meet with the teachers.
