Working on the north coast i the mid 90s i was interested in obtaining some images of the Australian Pelican, it seemed like all pelicans had gone someware, eventually after to Peter Slater, found that this year 90% of the peligans had gone inland into the remote lakes of central Australia, Well it looked like a trip was at hand and rang a number of land owners in that part of the world ,and managed toget into Booloo Downs to at least get enough information to paint these wonderful birds. this painting has been sitting in the studio for some timr semi un finished and decided to get it done in late 2017

The other reference material etc, came from the water edge at TinCan Bay near Fraser Island.
