		Animals For Asia Foundation Animals Asia works to end the barbaric bear bile trade, which sees over 10,000 bears kept on bile farms in China and about 1,200 in Vietnam. It also works to end the trade in dogs and cats for food in China and Vietnam; to improve the welfare of companion animals and to end abusive animal practices in zoos and safari parks in Asia.
		Dog Rescue Dunedin Dog Rescue Dunedin rescues dogs that are unclaimed from the pound (Animal Control). It provides veterinary care (including desexing), food and home-based foster care and advertises them until they find their “forever homes”. It also runs a desexing programme for dogs from members of the public, using granted money, and makes regular talks in schools on safety around dogs and dog management.
		HUHA (Helping You Help Animals) HUHA (Helping You Help Animals) is New Zealand's leading 'no-kill' animal shelter. It is dedicated to teaching empathy to the community and providing shelter and finding homes and foster care for a multitude of homeless, abandoned, seized and abused animals.
		IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) aims to rescue and protect animals around the world. It saves individual animals, animal populations and habitats all over the world including rescuing animals in the wake of disasters and campaigning to end commercial whaling and seal hunts
		PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the largest animal rights organisation in the world. It focuses on animal suffering in the food industry, the clothing trade, laboratories and the entertainment industry as well as the cruel killing of rodents, birds and other animals considered 'pests' as well as cruelty to domesticated animals
		Save Animals From Exploitation (SAFE) SAFE (Save Animals From Exploitation) is New Zealand’s leading animal advocacy organisation. Founded in 1932, SAFE aims to make significant improvements to the lives of animals by raising awareness, challenging cruel practices, changing attitudes and fostering compassion so that they are no longer exploited or abused by humans. With over 20,000 members, supporters and a small group of dedicated staff, SAFE undertakes high-profile campaigns, public stalls, displays, demonstrations, meetings, education services and research to foster a more informed understanding of the state of human-animal relations in New Zealand.
		Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) SPCA Otago is a local branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals which rehabilitates and rehomes around 1,700 animals every year that are sick, injured, lost, abused or simply abandoned.
