This piece comes from memories of watching an Orca "study" us one afternoon in Southeast Alaska while I was working aboard a research vessel. The interaction went on for almost an hour and the experience was surreal to me. Orca in the wild can be seen rubbing against all sorts of textures, pebbles, Kelp etc.
